At its core, Prost Brewing is all about excellent, authentic German style bier. When taking a closer look at who we are, we like to think Denver is the perfect city, with the Rocky Mountains being the perfect region, to call home. In many ways, Colorado parallels the special region of Germany that is our roots.

The German state of Bavaria, where our authentic brauhaus originated, is a lush, mountainous region that features the kinds of sights and an active lifestyle we’re familiar with in Colorado. Small towns and villages nestle in the hillsides and in valleys of the Bavarian Alps, which make a very scenic backdrop when hiking, biking or exploring an ornate castle. The Bavarian climate isn’t far off from that of the Rocky Mountain region, with temperatures that don’t climb too high in the summer and aren’t too unbearably cold in the winter.

Bavaria’s capital city is Munich, a prosperous and progressive European city that’s home to nearly 1.5 million people. Munich shares some similarities to – you guessed it – our own city of Denver. Munich is a very walkable city, rich in art, history, culture, architecture, and a very festive bier culture. It’s home to numerous universities and theaters, as well as one of the world’s largest urban parks, the English Garden. Munich has been called one of the world’s most livable cities, and lauded for its high quality of life.

Bavaria and the Rocky Mountain region are two distinct and wonderful places, and we’re happy to provide another key commonality between them – our outstanding German style bier. Here’s a “Prost!” to being able to enjoy authentic German style bier, brewed right here in Colorado!
