Do you love chocolate but perhaps love a tall glass of authentic German bier even more? This Valentine’s Day you don’t have to give up on brewed pleasure. Instead, use your favorite German bier to brew up some of that romance you have been waiting for.

Indeed your Valentine might be a bit skeptical at first, especially if they already know of your beer-loving tendencies. However, once he or she tries the combination of chocolate and beer they will quickly learn that this culinary pairing is a match made in heaven.

Of course, you can’t just pair any beer with chocolate. After all, an overly bitter brew might not pair so well with a sweet honey-filled truffle. A sweet and malty Doppelbock or Prost Brewing’s unique Altfränkisches Dunkel Bier with its distinctive malty flavor may add that complementary touch of sweetness to make dessert that much more of an indulgence. Of course, you might also choose to add a little bit more fruit and spice to your romantic evening with a growler full of banana and clove filled Weissbier to compliment that chai, orange, or peanut butter filled truffle.

And then,…under this chocolate and beer spell, who knows, magic might just happen!

A “Prost!”…to German beer, to chocolate, and to romance…a winning trio sure to make this Valentine’s Day a day to remember!
