To conclude this series on the 10 New Year’s resolutions for the German bier lover, we bring you the final four resolutions that are sure to make this year the year you increase your passion for the traditional German brew. If you are just tuning in and would like to take a look at the other two blogs full of the rest of the list of resolutions for 2014 check out the following links: http://blog.prostbrewing.com/2014/01/03/10-new-years-resolutions-for-the-german-beer-lover-s-1-3/, http://blog.prostbrewing.com/2014/01/06/10-new-years-resolutions-for-the-german-beer-lover-part-ii/. As you read through the resolutions on these previous blogs and those listed below, you may pick and choose which resolutions will ultimately bring you the most beer fueled pleasure and joy in 2014. Dedicate yourself to one, a few, or all of these resolutions and slowly, one step at a time, you can work your way towards becoming a more knowledgeable and devoted student of German beer.

Now, for the final four New Year’s resolutions for the German bier lover:

7) Take more pleasure in your beer. No doubt you already take much pleasure in every one of your Prost brews, but you always have the opportunity to take just a little more pleasure. How? By taking more time to drink your beer or perhaps by sharing your beer with a group of your closest German bier loving friends, you can squeeze just a little bit more enjoyment from your beer drinking experience. For the ideal setting to do just this head to Prost Brewing’s authentic German bier hall where you will be surrounded by many others looking to take a much need break in their day to slow down and enjoy a mug full of beer heaven accompanied by sequential, enthusiastic “Prosts!”.

8) Take more “beer breaks” instead of your traditional coffee breaks. Okay, so maybe you can’t leave the office in the afternoon and head to Prost for an afternoon brew (or can you?!?), but you probably can stop by Prost on your way home for a late afternoon, early evening “beer break.” Instead of picking up your daily coffee pick me up to reawaken you after a long day of work, consider recovering from the work day with a full mug of beer.

9) Use beer in cooking. If you have not tried this before, or do not consider yourself a cook, this is your chance to shine in the kitchen! With just a little splash of German bier added to your favorite chili or that tender beef brisket, you will transform your dish into an irresistible indulgence. The strong flavors of German beer make it so you may add an interesting splash of flavor to any recipe. If you are still not convinced, you can always choose to pair your favorite Prost bier with a complementary food. For instance, try a glass of Prost Brewing’s Weißbier with the dessert of your choice and enjoy the extra flavor additions of banana and clove that will act as the cherry on top of any dessert.

10) Journey on your own beer pilgrimage to Germany. A few trips to Prost Brewing to experience authentic German bier along with some of the unique and rich brewing culture surrounding it, and you will might very well find yourself daydreaming about taking a trip to Germany to experience beer from some of Germany’s well-known beer meccas. You might even get the chance to travel to the millennium-old Benedictine Andech’s monastery, a beer mecca just outside of Munich, where Prost obtains all of its yeast from! This year, allow yourself to dream of taking the ultimate trip of any beer lover!

Whether you commit yourself to dreaming of (and possibly taking!) a beer pilgrimage, using a few splashes of beer while cooking, or just simply taking that much needed beer break to sit, relax, and enjoy a traditional German bier in Prost Brewing’s bier hall, you won’t be disappointed in the result of any of these resolutions. Ultimately, such devotion will surely end in a level of gratification that we here at Prost call “beer bliss.

From all of us at Prost, “Ein guts und gesegnetes neues Jahr!“…We wish you a good and blessed New Year!
